I myself have a few strange hobbies/likes .. for example i collect hearses and ambulances (real ones!) and i build model airplanes compulseively (i think i spelled that wrong) I mean i detail the $#^%@ out of my models ! and i also collect Firefighter Jackets and helmets and my main collection that i have had since i was 6 is military stuff (guns, badges, uniforms. etc.) So i was wondering what other people are into? What are your hobbies?

Mine would not constitute as strange, but I like to research personality disorders and google "mummy" on google images and look at the pics. Mummies are fascinating. Mid-life crisis's as well, along with menopause and infertility.

I also have a bit of an infatuation with Sweeney Todd.

Maybe a bit strange.

OK, like Silverproteus, I got books on mummies with pics this goes along with stuff I'd collect that were Egyptian, I even got a blanket made from Alexandria by a friend. I would luv to collect cats, but the law only requirees 2 cats per household which I think needs to change with most of them being homeless. Anyway my hobbies include photography, sketching, astrology, tarot reading, research on topics that are of interest or I hear about, and movies. There's other things I like to do as well but these are my main ones. Yes, I accept the fact that I am an oddball but one of a kind.

I collect paperclips from the ground. I don't consider it so much a hobby as a useful practice, though, because I don't own a stapler to hold my assignments together before handing them up. It's surprising how many stray paperclips you can find by looking on the ground or floor in university campuses.

I collect poison. I only have a small collection now, but I am not old enough to legally obtain a lot of things to make it.

And I have to check how legal owning it is before I make it. It's a pain.

I have done extensive research on the Olympic Games.

My favorite athlete is Roger Bannister, not really unusual unless you consider I'm 43 years old, and Bannister broke the four minute mile in 1954, ten years before I was born.

I collect marshmallow peeps as well as all things peeps.... except the t shirts, I dont need to know where my 'peeps' at. The strange thing is i dont usually like to eat them. I have keychains, stuffed peeps, peep baskets and suckers... whatever they come out with.

not to mention boots boots boots... the chunkier the better. especially doc martens....my weakness. There is always room for one more pair. I will be buried in dr martens.

I have a strange likeing for boxes and other containers. I keep them in my room and use them for holding stuff. I also pick up paperclips, screws, ribbins, string, yarn, and other stuff like that off the floor if I can. Arts and Crafts time at places is a treasure chest! I also like to sort sewing pins by color on the pin holders. I wll also pick up random interesting looking objects off the ground like beads or anything pretty and shiny that attracts my attention. I also have a habit of picking up coins. And I like to drink BBQ sauce. And stare at anything that is a blood red color like wet red velvet cake mix. mmmmmmmmmmmm -Power Girl

I love reading true crime books. Everyone thinks that I'm strange because I'm totally into serial killers and I know alot about them. I'm a serial killer geek, I guess. People think it's odd that I know so much about these things.

I collect corks too. Just corks from bottles of wine or champagne that my husband and I drink. I've been collecting them for 7 years almost 8. I have a lot.

I'm into keychains and I always buy keychains and postcards at places we go to. I use the excuse that I use them in the scrap books, but really I just like to collect them.

I collect weird Chinese fortunes. My favourite one is the one my son and I got one day, "Don't panic". I keep it in my wallet, because it reminds me that even Confucious sleeps on the job.

I collect vintage shoes, too. Most of my shoes are older than my husband (he's 45).

Is that enough oddity? I get stuck on things and collect them for awhile. But those are the things that have been long standing.
