Yes. I do.

Matter of fact, I demand them.

Don't touch this! topic

My children will be concerned if I am ill but i would rather them not come too close. I will hug my dogs or cat as they seem to know something is wrong. :o

No. Especially if I feel like I'm going to puke because at that point I'd rather not move or talk never mind come in contact with another human being. Sometimes when I'm really sad a hug can be comferting, but it's not something that I seek out.

No. I only like to be touched if I'm really comfortable in whatever situation I'm in...Comfy emotionally and physically. if I'm sick, I feel more *people claustrophobic* than usual.

Plus, I' can't stop thinking about the germs, and the fact that my germs might be crawling over to other people.

NO. That is the time when I want them the LEAST. Unfortunately it is also the time when I am too physically weak to resist and so just end up feeling like I am crawling inside while this persons hand is just touching me on my back or rubbing my back but I can't pull away. That is extremely uncomfortable. I shudder when I think of it.

I remember as a kid getting a vaccination and the nurse was holding my hand. Inside I was screaming because she was holding my hand - it was worse than the vaccination but I didn't know how to tell her not to hold my hand because I didn't want to be rude.

Thanks!! !
Whenever Damien isn't well that is the one time he gets more affectionate and wants cuddles. Last night he wanted LOTS!
Today it has been more 'normal' with hugs lasting 10 seconds then him rushing off or pushing me away. But I'm happy(ish), it means he is getting better :D

When I'm sick, I usually don't want touch. Especially if my skin hurts. When I had major surgery, I was careful not to tell anyone at my church, because I knew that they would swarm the hospital with well meaning good cheer, and totally drive me crazy. I knew that I would be feeling at my most vulnerable, and be weak from the anesthesia, etc. I did instruct one friend to let people know when I got home, so that if they wanted to help out with laundry and shopping, they were more than welcome to do so! To me, visits in the hospital were totally useless and distressing.

I generally do not like hugs and that kind of stuff. It makes me feel sick.

I have tried a few times to meet some new person who is a friend of a "friend" of mine, who suddenly engages in a huge hug. I try to get out, it freaks me out.

Not even my mom gets a hug from me. I dont like it, never did.

I wanted them when I was a child and sick. I'm not sure about now. I mean, I don't really get nice snugly hugs from anyone. So I don't know about now.

I like hugging people, but I don't like being hugged. Something about being in control of the physical contact, I suppose.

I don't want hugs when I'm sick, they go from being uncomfortable to painful during those times. I do like back rubs, though.

When I am sick I can tolerate hugs a lot better. Especially if it's through a blanket. When not sick I don't like people standing too close to me. So yeah, I would say I get "huggier" when sick. Not that I get THAT huggy, just more than not at all.

For want of a better term it's almost as if my skin "turns off" when I am sick. Could more be that my body is more interested in reminding me I have a headache/stomach ache/sore throat etc than "EGADS! your being touched!"
