What do you call someone who...

- always says the right thing that will further their interests and never says anything that may put off him the people he needs for his social and economic advancement in life;

- is always advancing in life, socially and economically, in a straight curve;

- was never fired, and doesn’t have any other (openly known, at least) embarrassing personal stories of failure or blundering such as being naively cheated out of money or marrying someone abusive, doing something silly that costs them dearly, etc;

- is able to control his emotions so well that his emotions never spoil his goals;

- has a sweet, blond wife, 2 kids, a dog, a cottage in the suburbs, a jeep;

A "golden boy"?
One of the "perfect people"?
Someone who suffers greatly in private, because he can't reveal any of the problems in his life?

That first trait sounds like what I would call a sycophant.

EDIT: Oops, didn't see the part about the wife and car.

vvv And how can someone like that be a sociopath? He would be on exactly the right track.

Until you got to the sweet, blond wife, kids, and dog, I would have said "The person Roger would like people to believe he is" lmao.

The person you describe sounds like a sociopath to me.

Mostly because a good sociopath would effectively create this image around them and to the not in the know observer, would seem all these things.

Whether or not the person in question were a sociopath or not would remain in question, but he would certainly give me pause to wonder.

I thought a sociopath is someone who is crazy, someone who likes to hurt others. I didn't see that in the description :?

Anyways I think that person is living a good life, able to succeed in life, is really good with his emotions he doesn't let them get in the way.

I agree.If I shut out my overwhelming jealousy and read the
description with an objective mind,the person seems like a
positive role model :)
