As a starter, which of you wants to be a physicist.

I used to have a strong interest in Physics i've been focused on other things lately though. I am not sure if I want to get into this in the future but I am looking into getting to phisics as an option.

I like the hole idea of figuring out how the universe works and having a better understanding of the world and the universe around me. Plus its some thing where zoning out into your own train of thought can be a good thing.

I have a great interest in physics. Currently I aspire to a field of applied physics, electrical engineering. But I'm also interested by the more fundamental pure quantum physics. Over years of conjecture, I've come up with many hypotheses that were later proved true by various people.

Physics is a hobby of mine, I don't have enough time to devote to it professionally though. I think maybe when I'm older I might though.

i used to want to be a physicist. have done about a million other things instead. i still like reading physics stuff, though, although i'm not really up to speed on all the latest quantum stuff (which is one of myinterests).

I have a couple of degrees in physics, and some years of experience of practical astronomy. I was never much good at it, but it was great fun. The downside was the lack of stability - short term contracts and unreliable funding. I now work in computing which, in terms of problem solving, can be surprisingly similar to maths and physics - but it generally pays better...

I'm a physics major in college, and plan to be a research physicist. Preferably a theoretician, because I'm utterly hopeless at lab work.

I started out crazy about astrophysics and theoretical quantum physics, but for various complicated reasons I'll probably end up working in applied materials science.

Do any of you study quantum field theory in depth?

I have an idea for a TOE. It is so simple that it makes M-Theory or superstring theory looks like the creation of a fantasy writer. Pity I can't reveal it. Two reasons:

I have not developed all of its fringes.
Intellectual property.

You may see it 10 years later.
(I'm only fourteen)

----------------------------

I have problems with planck units and is trying vainly to get the constants to fit together.

Nope. I'm not really into Physics. But when my dad was alive, he was a physics nut. That, math, and computers. Of course, he was a Boeing engineer and used all three in his work.

(I found out just recently from my mother that he helped write the programming for the Stealth. :D That's so kewel.)

My grandfather helped make components for the saturn 5 rocket. . . . .

Myself? I have only a passing interest in that stuff, and mostly for metaphysical reasons. It is good to know some of it, but I do not make a point to study it.
