A Commune where people can go and just unwind and learn to be and accept them selves,
a place thats not only accepting but educational, to help people learn to cope with life,
so tell me, if we made one, what would you have done?

Ana54, UtukXul, and adverb are in an aspie commune. They had another about to join.

If you had one, I would leave it. Somebody would have to be working and paying the bills for this commune, and I think that several necessary jobs would go undone, because nobody would be enabled enough to do them. We would have to get NTs to work for us on some jobs.

Then there would be a necessary leadership, and who would decide that? The one who has been diagnosed the longest? The one with the highest IQ? The one with the most degrees, or the oldest, or what?

I'm afraid of a scenario where someone goes all Heaven's Gate or Jonestown with the leadership. Communes go that way sometimes.

I like NTs too, and they would never be let in. It seems diagnosist.

If aspies can live and function alone, I'm sure that a bunch of them could live together.

No voting on who should be leader.. Popularity does not a good leader make.

You don't know what commune me and pardon me but are you misspelling communist?

If you mean't communist, your agenda is total incompatiable to what is out there.

Democracy, Republican, Socialist, and Communist will not work unless you have an established moderation controlling the people and the government.

Too much power on either side isn't good.

If we referee the people, business, and the government without making the leader powerful then I say it going to improve society, economic, and other things.

Please keep in mind that faction is a established belief to run and publicize.

no, I am just talking about a place people can get away for a while,
make friends, re-educate, learn coping skills, and just get a break from the world now and then.
I wish there was one in my region, hell, if there was enough aspies around we could rent a place together
and start our own business, just think of the potential, if we could obsessively focus on some common interests
we could make a small fortune and be the leader in the fields in question.

Agreed.

And if it were on a tropical island, the economy would be worse because places like that depend heavily on tourism. And what kind of people would make up the vast majority of people who travel? NTs!! !

But if by Aspie commune, one means a way to get together and have fellowship outside of online forums every once in a while, then I am definitely for it. But I am against shutting NTs out completely, though.

Yes and no.

It good but I guess the idea is pointless because of buying land and if it not appear to be occupied then what good is keeping the land?

Isn't this an Aspie commune? Ok, it's digital, but we can still come here to unwind without completely shutting ourselves off from mainstream society. Completely isolating ourselves would be a bad idea in my opinion, and what's to say an Aspie-only society would be without its problems?
