Does anyone else think he's an aspie? I heard his brother has autism.

No, I don't think he is an aspie; however, he does have depression, as he has stated that somewhere in a past interview.

He is very strange and unique and his songs seem obsessive. Also Very Narcissistic. He's also continued Smashing Pumpkins even after the band broke up he re-created it with him being the only original member.

Dunnow...I reckon it could go either way...he definitely has issues.
Is that a new video?
I sorta lost track of the Pumpkins a way long time ago.
I have seen them in concert twice.
The first time I saw them, it was at a club in Houston called Rockefellers West and somebody threw a shoe on the stage and it hit him and he stopped the show and started yelling at the audience to find the person who threw the shoe on the stage, and then he seemed like he was mad at the whole audience for not actively seeking out the culprit...in fact, more people threw shoes, which made him madder.....he really made a big stink about it...walked off stage....show ended early....

The second time I saw him was for Lollapalooza and he was insulting the audience and calling us rednecks and was playing around with his songs....like he dragged this one song out really long on making the same sound over and over...

I dunnow...this was a really long time ago..so my memory of the stuff is pretty fuzzy....

It was apparent the second time I saw them that he was still bitter about the shoe incident.....
I kinda stopped liking the pumpkins after that....
Could be an aspie..holding a grudge against an entire city over one person throwing a shoe..
Sounds like something I might do.

Before the Smashing Pumpkins played their first show, Billy Corgan went out and hired an artist to make really cool posters for the band. He promoted his band obsessively even before their first performance throughout the Chicago area.

No That song's been around for a few years

I think this is their newest one. Very abstract and repetitive.

MartyMoose, you live in the Chicago area, have you heard of his younger brother, the playwrite?

I think the last video provided reminds me of his days in Zwan...
Not the best of William Patrick Corgan.

Makes me sad the Billy can't be amicable with his old allies.
Call James and D'Arcy up and say sorry, Billy.
I've never connected to any band like the old SP.

I guess the rampant acid use during his earlier years in Florida, in the Marked
is the reason why he's so mean now-a-days.
It's a shame, he's a genius, but more often-than-naught,
the genius lament.

I like Smashing Pumpkins but Billy Corgan’s writing style doesn’t seem aspie to me at all. A lot of his lyrics seem flowery and sentimental to me. I think Thom York’s lyrics are far more aspie.

I can see Thom Yorke being an aspie, especially with the song Creep

When you were here before
Couldn't look you in the eye
You're just like an angel
Your skin makes me cry
You float like a feather
In a beautiful world
And I wish I was special
You're so f****n' special

But I'm a creep, I'm a weirdo.
What the hell am I doing here?
I don't belong here.

I don't care if it hurts
I want to have control
I want a perfect body
I want a perfect soul
I want you to notice
When I'm not around
You're so f****n' special
I wish I was special

But I'm a creep, I'm a weirdo.
What the hell am I doing here?
I don't belong here.

She's running out again,
She's running out
She's run run run running out...

Whatever makes you happy
Whatever you want
You're so f****n' special
I wish I was special...

But I'm a creep, I'm a weirdo,
What the hell am I doing here?
I don't belong here.
I don't belong here.

I love that song! It's what got me into Radiohead. 8)

Ever since discovering that I'm an Aspie and how society views and treats us, I've kinda connected to Radiohead's Subterranean Homesick Alien(my favorite of all their songs):

The breath of the morning
I keep forgetting
The smell of the warm summer air

I live in a town
Where you can't smell a thing
You watch your feet
For cracks in the pavement

Up above
Aliens hover
Making home movies
For the folks back home

Of all these weird creatures
Who lock up their spirits
Drill holes in themselves
And live for their secrets

They're all uptight
Uptight.. (x7)

I wish that they'd swoop down in a country lane
Late at night when I'm driving
Take me on board their beautiful ship
Show me the world as I'd love to see it

I'd tell all my friends
But they'd never believe
They'd think that I'd finally lost it completely

I'd show them the stars
And the meaning of life
They'd shut me away
But I'd be all right
All right..

I'm just uptight
Uptight.. (x7)
