I have read that blood type A is often associated with severe autism, but that no particular blood type is associated with persons with Asperger's Syndrome. So, I thought it might be informative to take a poll of blood types among persons with Asperger's.
My type is O-positive, which is the same as my father's.
How about your blood type?

O Negative.

But I always read/understood autitistics (regardless of level of functioning) have a statistically significant propensity to Rh negative blood (like mine). Were you aware of this? I don't know why..I had never heard of the type A. I think it's the Rh factor that is significant, if any. Interesting though!

Most everyone is my family is O negative and there is a high genetic component to autism in my family.

Interesting, Labpet. My mother is Rh- and I believe she is an aspie. In fact, I think AS may be common on her side of the family, in addition to the Rh- type.
