Okay my 6yo boy (my only child) has a real envy thing about babies - I can't look at them, hold them, etc which I take as something most *only children* might go through.

But he is very strong about himself as a baby - what I mean is he won't look at photos of himself or home movies and he really hates it if I look at them. He's quite.. umm... strong about this opinion.

But to me the *weird* bit is that if we go to a chemist and I am waiting for a prescription he his quite content to sit on the floor in front of the nappies and formula and other baby stuff and just stare at it all for as long as I will allow him. Then if I ask him about it he gets quite defensive and wont' talk about it.

But then if he's around babies (if I'm not there) he is absolutely adorable with them - cuddling, patting, etc...

He just seems to be a contradiction and so I was wondering if anyone has gone through anything similar?

Just curious :)

Maybe he doesn't want to express feelings that he thinks are improper of his age, and in front of you acts like that to prove himself. Talk about it with him.
