Tonight, got back from old/family home and was led to the kitchen by the unofficial assistance cat,GFB [though had nothing in for him cause he's on a diet].
staff were just outside having a cigarette.
David [who am share the whole of upstairs with] just got in and he used to hate cats, but took him in because he is okay with them and strokes GFB now.
His brother came in with him,and he came to the kitchen,he completely ignored existance of am as usual, and he started shouting "oh shes got that bloody cat in the house dave, the cat is in the house, hes not bloody allowed in,wait till the staff hear about this" then he started shouting at GFB and kicking him up the bum to get him to run out.

Am nearly ended up meltdowning in the kitchen because of him shouting [his speaking is like shouting so his shouting is like super-shouting and the manager has spoke to him about it before],and could think of a few swearwords when thinking of him, this is not his home, and david was not back so am can have GFB in for some rubs, david does not care anymore about the cat,his brother keeps complaining to staff saying david hates it when he doesnt and says so and shows it so [by stroking and calling GFB in].

Is it right that Davids brother can come in and do what he did?

Also, why does he ignore am even exist [like even wanting to get past him he ignores, but he moves out the way for anyone else and says hello to them].

Does Daves brother pay for him to be there? Is Dave somewhat non verbal? If so, he may have a case. As for not acknowledging your existence, he may simply not want to deal with you. Some people are like that.

If Dave IS verbal, ask him to tell his brother he is ok with it, and wants him to relax.

BTW I hope your cat is getting SOMETHING to eat. Besides, if you don't feed him he could catch a bird, and just LEAVE. He may end up getting sick, and you'll never even know.

Thanks 2ukenkerl,

David is fully verbal and has a keyworker who he speaks to with his problems and she sorts them out,his brother comes in,takes over this place and treats it like David is the only one who exists/pays towards a placement.

Am wish GFB was own cat,am not officially owned by GFB,his regular home is nearby but he comes here every evening for rubs and hugs [his original humans know and are fine with it],he's too fat and lazy to catch a bird.

Am showed the nightstaff this tonight, and they said Davids brother has actually put a complaint in as it's written in their communication book in the office.

If Davids brother doesn't live there too he has no right at all to act like that!
I think it is great you have got a cat who visits for hugs and rubs.
