Facial recognition test (famous faces version)

I correctly identified ONE face. For all the rest, I clicked "I don't know." The majority of them were people I was familiar with.
I don't know which test to trust... the normal face-blindness test that says I'm only slightly below average, or this catastrophe.

I've always been better than average with faces.

I identified 10 out of 30 faces, I was familiar with 28. I already knew I was face-blind.

I think this is a poor test on face blindness, however. I cannot recognize people I used to work with if they put their hair back. I can't recognize people in movies I haven't seen before, such as in The Assassination of Jesse James, I recognized Brad Pitt and Casey Affleck but the rest of the movie was lost on me because I couldn't tell who was shooting at who in the farmhouse. I have a lot of trouble watching foreign films because I can never tell who's who.

Also I spend most of my time watching movies, writing reviews on movies, and researching movies, so if I didn't know who the famous actors were I'd be SOL.

I think a better test would be to show a picture of a random person for about 10 seconds, then try to pick them up out of a line-up of 10 people.

13 of 27 - a little less than half. Though I am younger than most people who would be taking this test, so I wasn't used to seeing old pictures of certain people (like Cher), or something like that.

yay. I usually recognize people by their hair.

I got 23 out of 30. I don't consider myself face-blind, and definitely recognize faces a lot more than names, as it somewhat annoys me people at college constantly say hi to me even though I don't know their names despite knowing their faces.

Hmm...yes im not sure on that one. The pictures were awful for a start!
Using famous people isn't helpful either, film stars are half my life. Strangers are the problem.

I do pretty good when it comes to famous people. Even recognized Natalie Portman wearing an elephant costume one day while flipping through the channels.

Couldn't recognize my brother's girlfriend if I passed her on the street though.

I took both tests, and I got 72 to 75 percent right.

They had one with unknown faces that I struggled with significantly. I must have guessed 72 percent of that one right.
