We were at WalMart last night, just browsing around, went through the toy aisle and I happened to notice a particular box amongst the rest of the jigsaw puzzles...

...yes, now we literally are a puzzle :x

This is the only picture I've been able to find so far, it's of the completed puzzle itself: http://www.jigsawpuzzle1000.com/We-Are-Bound-Together-300-pc/M/B0014BA0Q8.htm

I took a look and I could not see any mention of autism speaks. But I would comment that around here that autism speaks is not popular.

I think that getting the wrong planet citizens to do anything to support autism speaks is about as likely as me getting Lenin and the central committee of the communist party of the soviet union to vote for a free market economy back in 1920.

Diagnosed under the DSM5 rules with autism spectrum disorder, under DSM4 psychologist said would have been AS (299.80) but I suspect that I am somewhere between 299.80 and 299.00 (Autism) under DSM4.

We are a puzzle because our parents have to figure us out and how to raise us and teach us and figure out how our brains work. That's how I feel about myself sometimes about my mother when she had to raise me. But aren't all kids puzzles because every child is different and not every method is going to work on a child. Even people are puzzles too because we have to figure them out and figure why did they react a certain way. Sometimes I even feel I've lived in a puzzle but doesn't everyone have a puzzle in their life? My mom has talked about how she had to find every piece to a puzzle to figure it out.

Just b/c some ( a few or many I don't know) of us like to do puzzles does not make us one! I like the idea of supporting autism research (it keeps people aware & involved). But really, did they need to make what looks like the literal version of "let's solve the puzzle"? Also, the pic of the puzzle w/ the kids holding the chain can be interpreted as supporting or not supporting autism me thinks. Aspie/Auties are united by a common condition but it affects each of us differently & makes many of us (including me) naturally born loners (by choice or not it depends).

The thing Spokane-Girl said is right. :)

The only thing I like about the "let's solve the puzzle" ribbon & horse I saw in Kansas City, MO were the pretty colors! :D I'm a color fanatic (black, navy, brown, neon, blue, green, yellow, red, purple, violet, indigo, white, silver etc.) I don't care!

Just because I like to do puzzles, does not mean that I'm a puzzle.

It's not just them... I wouldn't personally buy theirs, as every time one of us pipes up to them we are ignored, lol. But there are quite a few autism puzzles out there now.

Puzzle 1

Puzzle 2

Puzzle 3

So of course, not all of them are obvious, but all of them are for supporting Autism Awareness in one form or another.

ah, and the box itself says autism speaks on it

I'd be better off buying puzzles that have various London landmarks. I'd be much happier doing puzzles of that caliber. I will not support Autism Speaks, until they start giving us their money, instead of putting it towards genetic research.
