Simple question.

I did, and here's an example of how I did it; little Daniel and his line in order of size around the perimeter of his desk:

does arranging my stuffed animals like a choir on risers on the floor of my closet count?

I used to do that, and when I still had a "workplace" (my now out of commission computer desk... R.I.P.), I would incessantly arrange the various items atop it.

Sure - would either line them up or pile them in the middle of my playpen and then sleep on top of everything. My family thought it was really funny.

My mother thought it was quite smart how I did it in order of size. I'm trying to figure out why anyone would see it as...worthy of correction, as I just did a search, and many parents seem to show marked amounts of concern over something as simple as playing with one's toys in an atypical manner (they wish to "correct" this behaviour).

I think (and I don't have kids so I might be wrong) that most parents so very much want their children to be "normal" like everyone else. But some parents are more accepting of their child's individuality. My mother said to me that she wasn't worried that I didn't care to play with other children - I was healthy and happy exploring my world. She hadn't had many friends growing up, so she didn't force me to have them either.

Yes. Nobody in my family freaked out over it either.

Well, I DO remember doing this kind of thing with my books, etc... I did it with electronic parts too. As for toys, I didn't have many, so I doubt it would have been apparent if I did it.

I did it, it was often my favourite part of playing, unpacking toys from box/cupboard, and laying them out in order, very tidily, "formation" was very important. Still have major tendency to do this.

My son used to do it, passionately, and attentive to the slightest deviation from the line, until he was about 4, but no more. Don't know why he stopped. Might have had something to do with transferring that tendency to his drawings at that time, which are/were very "ordered"/diagrams, with "rules" like roads etc in.

:study:

Not that I remember, but I did take great pleasure in stacking my books by order of size.

The only times i lined them up was by putting them in battle formation
I always loved playing with my lego soldiers, playing out little battles with them.
But nah not in the way you are reffering to.

I don't remember it specifically, but I do it now as an adult and have for as far back as I can remember. I line up my M&Ms, too. By color.
