When I am provoked, I always stare into people's eyes. That can go from no eye-contact, because I forget to do it, to a consistent defiant stare that does not leave the eyes of the aggressor. I do this spontaneous and have no control over it. I just stare into the person's eyes and keep an abnormal eye-contact.

Is anyone else like this?

WOW! In other words, your eye contact, in BOTH ways is like other primates, and some other animals! I GUESS, if I was really provoked, and had no other options, I would. The fact that you otherwise DON'T do it makes it an especially strong statement.

I also do that :D
I did it since I was small because I found out very early on that most people are afraid of it, and every time someone provokes me I give them that stare.
Other times, I avoid eye contact when I need to talk, especially in small groups, but I look at people's face when they're talking.

Yup. I normally hate eye contact, but if I'm very cross I will stare at people, and they do say it's scary.

I don't know. I haven't been angry before in the actual physical presence of people (I've only felt anger a couple of times in my life, one on the phone, another the target wasn't to be found).

Yes same here. I didn't realize it at first that I was doing that until people would look scared of me lol. It just makes me laugh that ppl would be scared of me of all people. I'm the most harmless person I know. Later on I'll hear from other ppl that person was asking if I was still mad at them and making comments about how angry I was. But I wasn't even that angry at the time, and I was over it the next day.

I definitely do. I've been told that this is just as bad as no eye contact (my usual state), because it appears aggressive and unnatural. I guess I do it to drive my point home, or maybe just to try and make people feel as uncomfortable as I feel (I don't know; this is sort of subconscious). I'm not really sure why. I do this for sure, but I don't enjoy it.

Thinking about it...I probably do. And I think I did as a child as well.

When I first started suspecting autism in myself, I asked my husband how often he thought I made eye contact with him. He said I only make eye contact with him when I am angry. I had never really thought about it before, it's not something I ever noticed before he told me.
