Okay, I know this doesn't interest most of you and it seems pretty random, but I'm so excited I'm going to tell you anyroad!
In december, I went to see a doctor about an internal congenital hand deformity which had been irritated by playing guitar. I love my guitars above people and anything else. This doctor told me to give up guitar and writing for the rest of my life because I'd never be able to use my hands properly. Of course, I got very upset and my mum dragged me out of there and went to get another opinion.
The other day, Aug 30, I went to get that second opinion. I went to see Dr. John Chong, a performing arts specialist in Hamilton. This guy was so cool! He said that, although he could operate and fix the problem, he wanted to see if we could make it better without surgery. He prescribed these Chinese Jingle Balls to do exercises iwth, and two new computer programs to help me use my hands less.
Because of him I got a new computer and, for the first time in over half a year, I left a doctor's office laughing. Actually, it was the first time since I was nine. Dr. Chong is also going to report the first surgeon I saw, the one who traumatised me and tell people he was mean!
Anyone else have good doctor stories (just to try to make this post relevant!)?
