I honestly love thunderstorms. But I get maaajor anxiety attacks if they're at night, it gets really bad. Or if I'm outdoors and I hear even a tiny bit of thunder, I kirk out on the inside majorly.

How do YOU all feel about thunderstorms?

I love them but I don't like going out in them. I'm afraid I might get hit by lightning.

They're the only sudden loud noises I enjoy.

I love thunderstorms, especially the kind with the deep, reverberating thunder that just rolls on and on. I can watch lightning for hours, too.

I love them as well, just as long as they don't produce any tornadoes. I especially like being out in the rain. :P

We just had some here a few hours ago. Since you live in Maryland, you may be getting that same storm now, it was moving northeast.

I love them. And I often stupidly went and sat on the roof of the shed so I could get a better veiw. Mum had my stepdad build a box for us kids to sit in, had lightning rods and everything. Man I miss living in the middle of nowhere... caint even see anything in the city.

I used to be quite good at photographing lightning. So that was another draw to like them.

Yep, we're getting one now... starting with some anxiety attacks, but nothing too big... I like using wunderground and looking on their local radar- they have an optional lightning sensor which gives precise locations of lightning discharge.

Wow, that's pretty cool. Lightning and thunder excite me. I'd like that to know exactly how close lightning comes to the house. I've had lightning strike 3 feet in front of me once. My mother has actually been struck by it, twice. 8O

I love them and find them fascinating like most things in natural, often feel more in tuned than with NTs!

I generally like storms. So exciting...

I had a tornado warning here a couple hours ago.
Although the power did get interrupted a couple times. How annoying...

My house got struck by lightning in 1997, during the evening. I remember it so clearly, it was this HUUUGE crack and explosion of thunder, louder than anything I've heard before. amazing tingling feeling of energy through everything... My dad was cooking spaghetti at the time, and about 5 minutes past the big bang, I told him I smelled smoke. He didn't believe me, and said it was the spaghetti.

Meanwhile, our neighbor from across the street runs over, and asks why we have a fire in our fireplace in the middle of July...

My dad runs out, says "Oh s**t! Everyone out!" and my grandmother asks "Hold on, Cal's up to bat" 'cause she was watching an Orioles game, haha.

My dad attempted to get on the roof and put it out with the garden hose

Ever since then, I've been terrified but sooo fascinated with lightning.

Love the rain
Love the lightning.

I jump when the thunder hits. Kabbboooom!! ! AHHHH (jumps)

Once it becomes apparent to listen for the sound of thunder, I like to predict when it will strike next.

The sound of thunder can fill me with instantaneous joy. I used to chase storms all the time back when I lived in the Midwest. Never anything severe though. I just liked to drive into garden variety gully washers and attempt to photograph cloud formations and lightning strikes.

It saddens me that the Pacific Northwest doesn't have real thunderstorms at all. What passes for thunderstorms here is just pathetic. We get a lot of drizzle and wind. Very little in the way of lightning.
