I'm sure this topic has been well covered, but since I'm kind of a newbie, I haven't seen it before. Most aspies I've encountered have obsessions, whether they're temporary or permanent. What is yours?

Mine is vintage snowmobiles of all things. I think about them all the time and drive my wife and everyone else nuts talking about them. Have ever since I rode my first one in 1993. Just old sleds too, not new ones. If it was built after 1985, I know the basics about it, but not near as much as a pre '85. Even I think it's wierd, but there isn't much I can do about it.

Roads and highway numbering systems. So long as I never leave an interstate, I can get anywhere in the US, at least where an Interstate goes.

I think those that I've lived with are thankful mine doesn't take up a lot of room in the house.

When I was a kid, I knew by heart a list of scientific names, capitals of countries and some other useless knowledge, and quite obsessed on Astronomy. Now, my obsession is computing.

That's one of mine too! Do you have a favorite highway? Mine is US 41. I was QUITE obsessed with it back in the 80's and 90's, even wrote a book but wasn't able to get it published.

Now I am into commercial jets, especially the 757. That's the first one I ever rode on, and man, it was an experience.

Oh, and I am obsessed with Medicine Hat paint horses. I wish I had one. They're pretty cool looking.
