I'd really appreciate some feedback please.

Sometimes when I have an idea, it is the best idea in the world to me. The idea of moving house greatly excites me because it's an adventure, this hugely clashes with my hatred of change.

I moved away from everyone I knew, partly because it was exciting but partly because there had been a death in the family and I couldn't handle people paying me attention because of it (because I felt awkward and didn't know what to say)

I went out and bought some chickens, even though I went there for a budgerigar.

For my job, I dyed my hair blue even though other people used temporary blue spray. I decided I wanted to dye it blue and no-one could talk me out of it.

I've been described as infectiously bubbly. I cannot talk to people one to one after I've said hello and asked them how they are but I will call hellooooo to them, jollily. That is if I'm in a secure, familiar situation. I can't bring myself to even look at someone I pass in the street.

I find it hard to concentrate on one thing, I will often start to do something and get distracted and do something else, then I will do something else instead because that takes my attention.
If it is my special interest then I have no problem in staying focused.

At school I found my mind drifting but I did have trouble with grasping concepts too. I work better if something is written down in front of me as I can read it again and take it in better.

I hated playing sport in school. My co-ordination is terrible. It bores me when other people have their turns at things but I don't particularly want to have my go as it's intimidating.

When I'm at home I will interrupt other people and can be really impatient but with other people I wont be like that as I'll feel too awkward and will shy away.

I'm sure there's other examples but I definately tend to be far more routine driven.

I'm almost certain that I have AS, I've just chosen not to write more about that in this post or I will end up writing an essay lol.

I would appreciate your views on if I have ADHD as well as AS or if the ADHD traits are just part of my AS?

Many thanks!

You really just provided a handful of scattered occurrences. A lot of that doesn't seem to have a whole lot to do with ADD or AS. Plenty of people have ideas they are excited about, or stubbornly want to dye their hair blue. More information is needed even to guess whether or not you have AS, and it's not like anyone here can tell you. Even experienced experts in AS can sometimes have difficulty making diagnoses after lots of examination in person.

I don't need anyone here to tell me if I have AS, that's not what I was asking, hence
"I'm almost certain that I have AS, I've just chosen not to write more about that in this post or I will end up writing an essay lol."
I was foccussing on things that I thought might be ADHD traits but I'll guess that they are not, now.
Thankyou for your reply.

ADHD is a frequent comorbid of Aspergers - a condition that goes hand-in-hand.

Funnily enough, the comorbids aren't usually as strong when combined with AS as they are on their own. This makes me think that instead of being a separate condition they are quite often aspects of Aspergers itself.

It's possible, even likely that you'd have Aspergers.... and, possible that you might not have real ADHD at all.

Have you done the online test, it's fairly accurate.

Thanks gbollard, yes I'd done it before but I just did it again.

The first time I got this:

Your Aspie score: 165 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 40 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie

Image

and just now I got this:

Your Aspie score: 159 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 45 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie

Image

So very similar results. I think I need to try and work out what they mean, I'm not very good at that sort of thing.
