Do you find yourself in scandals, big rows, or whatever trouble, due to your AS traits?

I think traits may have contributed to some fights I got into, cutting school, getting caught pulling a false alarm in 9th grade and drug & alcohol abuse. But I also had friends who felt alienated but were not on the spectrum that did similar things in school. In the work force some things that got me fired, or caused me to quit jobs very likely were related to my poor social skills. With respect to my childhood memories from 8 to 13, I can remember all the grades I was in, my teachers and friends, and I can remember the sequence of my home life but I cannot always reconcile the two parts - like its bifurcated maybe. Yes a lot of problems that I have had or brought on myself were related to my autistic characteristics. Doing a lousy job of picking up women definitely has everything to do with it.

I wouldn't say it is down to my Aspergian traits so much as the neurotypical traits of those around me. If they insist on behaving so damned irrationally then they have nobody to blame but themselves.

Unfortunately, theirs being the bulk majority, they also tend to have more pushing power.
Some day I DO intend to change that.

When I had my serial killer obsession it caused arguements between my mother and I.

Jack the Ripper was my hero... for a while.

^_^

But I'm still not sure whether I respect serial killers or spree killers more...
After the so-called "Virginia Tech Massacre" I started referring to the late Seung-Hui Cho as "Prophet Cho". That caused some trouble... though perhaps less than the fact that I would break down into fits of giggles in public whenever I read an article about it in the newspaper (like I do any time when people are killed in novel ways). There have been other international incidents that have caused me to become hysterical with laughter, but I've said enough already, haven't I?

That does qualify as on-topic, doesn't it?

My social issues have lead to sexual harrassment getting brought up at my first job. (I jumped on my coworkers back constantly don't ask! LOL!) Also I was suspended from College since I feel one of my obsessions were going to the teachers office daily and chatting I then went beyond that and sent her tons of e-mail. :-( I'd give anything to this day to be able to apologize to her since she was my favorite teacher (hence the obsession I think.) :-(

Dude...
Didn't you ever consider that these courses of action might be inhibiting your own agenda?

I mean... I can be fairly random in my actions sometimes, and fully capable of obsessing over people.... but I'm cautious about keeping those in line if my job might be on the line.

No I didn't sadly. :-( Sadly in Elementary school I chatted with teachers but it was after class cleaning the classroom. Obviously College is different. I was homeschooled from 5th-11th grade and then went to get my GED so I feel it was a brain overload I hadn't been in a school environment 7 years! :-) I'd give anything to have a second chance to apologize to that teacher. :-(

I did until I learned to screen out people that don't respond well to Aspie traits. Discriminating against NTs is just "celebrating diversity" and practicing "affirmative action" for Aspies, right?

During the years I was still at home, my old man who was a cop spotted for me. I was never present when he did this, but I would have loved to seen the bully's and his parents face when my old man reminded those involved that he had the authority to remove delinquent minors from their parent's home.

Never regret your actions.
You cannot possibly know how your life would have gone otherwise. It could be better, could be worse... There is no way to tell.

You are the way you are right now because of the life you have lived.... Everything you might yet have to achieve in life is only possible BECAUSE of the choices you have made thus far....

Just like I got a great education at Penglais school soley because I got myself expelled from Aberaeron (a worse school).

Back when I was in public school it was pretty much a daily thing. From hitting kids because they pissed me off or biting or hitting teachers because they pissed me off. I even bit my forth grade teacher because she grabbed me too hard (she even left a bruise). Disrupting teachers becuase they made a mistake. I want to learn facts thank you. I'm probably a terrible person because I do not regret it.

I hit a P.E. coach who snatched my wrist the police were called but the head school principal and my mom dealt with it. Sadly I was in the principal's office daily during Elementary school. I have a medical condition which lead to people bullying me so my Nanny said I "rebeled" I would hit and toss chairs aswell. :-(

I remember kicking a kindergarden teacher in the gut because she tried to restrain me when I saw my mom and ran to her. I got in trouble for breathing with that teacher. My parents took me out of that school in less than a week. One lady threated to have me arrested because I took off with this little garter snake her son was threatning to kill. She even chased me down the street for it.

This post I find most interesting from the very fact, I can recall several years ago, during the time I had been working for a small grocery chain around the time of 1992-96 and there was a particular event whereupon, I was pointed the finger at as, being the person whom stole the company vcr.Yet, when I had mentioned this to the other employees everyone else had stated they new nothing of such investigation into this...How odd you'd say.Anyways, when the smoke cleared my vindication was complete despite the fact, it took a great deal of time. So, I can relate to this post a great deal...
