Ok, I love going to work, I love going to stores, all by myself.

But when my car needs gas, I HATE going to the gas station. I feel like people are watching me and studying me, for some reason. I also feel very uncomfortable standing there with my license plate down, with the gas pump in the tank.

But why not nervous of everything else?

Will the high price of gas these days, most likely you are being watched...too many people are driving off without paying for their gas after they pump it.

Now, so many gas station require a person to pay before you pump your gas.

A least 2 states, in the US, have made it a FELONY to drive off without paying! You can be thrown in jail!

In Montana you can lose your license for that. Every gas station I have been to there all have that warning. They also say it's a felony.

Maybe this is just a transference phenomenon. You did read the prices at the pump, didn't you?

$3.82...heaven knows what they're paying in Europe...;)

Don't worry about the watching...most of that is going on tape. You might get a glance, but unless you're doing something shady, that'll be about it.

So what if they're watching you? Maybe they're just trying to catch a glimpse at your sexy, sexy automobile.

It's currently about $7/gallon in Switzerland, and you know what? Germans come over the border to fuel up because it's cheaper here! :o

I don't like petrol stations either...but thats because im scared they're gonna blow up whenever someone sends a text or a phone call. Damn fear monger's.

And yes, cameras are on you its true (£1.18 for petrol, £1.27 for diesel) but if you mean people, I get worried about that to, I don't like getting up in front of anyone, its scary and strange. I mean that feeling of standing up in class or going to the buffet in a restaurant. The way you have to think about it is you are the least important thing on their minds, they care about food and getting out their as soon as possible.

Don't know exactly how gas stations in other countries work. Don't you pay first and then the pump gets activated. How do ppl manage to drive off without paying? We're not allowed to pump own gas...
