Lately I have been getting this really tense bad hot pressury brain feeling..sometimes I sorta describe it as a psychic headache, because it affects my mood...and I have been really irritable and intolerant lately.....and it seems to feel slightly better if I cry a little bit.....it seems to be kinda around the perimeter of my frontal lobe....I am trying to figure out whether it is somehow psychological....like my brain having difficulty processing certain feelings properly....or if it is some sort of food allergy that has decided to act up....even though there have been no particular changes in my (not very good in the first place) diet...(i know that food allergies in the past have made the inside of my head feel very scratchy and staticy....and it feels slightly like that but not exactly.....or could it be my reaction to the heat....It is just now verging on summer and I have always been very sensitive to the heat....and it has ben well documented that I can go a wee tad looney in the head in the summertime.....

anywhoo.....anybody else get this kind of feeling.....or knwo what might cause it....and/or what to do about it, because it is very unpleasant.....

Hmm. I get odd warm/tingly headaches and a difficult to describe sense of bodily discomfort when I drink too much coffee. Maybe this isn't that sensation though. Have you asked a doctor?

no money for a doctor...but you might be onto something.
Instead of ADD meds I sometimes take over the counter diet pills....(yeah I know that doesn't sound healthy..but I have crazy-struggles with executive function...

I could be overdoing it...
I just get these feelings at odd times...like at night and they seem to be very connected with the overwhealming heat and also my emotions.

I remember feeling rather like that once, but it turned out to be medically induced by the SSRIs I was taking at the time...

It might be the heat...combined with too much caffine...I should probably watch my blood pressure....and caffiene intake, which is through the roof...because I feel like i need so much just to function...

It might be high blood pressure, I was getting the exact same symptoms, and have been on blood pressure medication for it since september, so you should have it checked. I was also drinking to much and had way to much caffeine, I switched to green tea, so I get a little caffeine, and have cut drinking to once a week, and I also cut out diet coke, artificial sweeteners like aspartame can cause bad headaches, and may have other serious health issues

yeah...I don't go near artificial sweetners...

must...cut...back..on...the ...caffiene...(a word I will never spell correctly).....

um.....

need to look into natural blood pressure remedies....can't go to a doctor for anything...due to no job no money no insurance....

I recall that when I was put on ADD meds, my blood pressure actually went down...I had issues with it then.....and the doctor put me on blood pressure medication, which my nurse/friend advised me against taking....and sure enough...the ADD meds lowered my stress-response issues (to a degree)...and I lost weight and my blood pressure went down.

These over-the counter diet pills are not having the same effect though I take them for the same reason I took adderall...

those diet pills may contain ephedrine which is used to treat hypotension or low blood pressure, check and see if they are because that could be very dangerous for you. heres a wikipedia page on it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ephedrine

I can feel my own confusion when I do math. It's tingly and is like a buzz that you can feel but can't see.

You aren't alone.

Nah..i know that none of the diet pills I take contain ephedra. I take the MegaGreenTea and sometimes the Metabolife...Metabolife used to, but no longer contains ephedra.
It is more likely that I am getting too much Caffiene....and then this crazy heat is driving me insane...

But I do get various head sensations that seem to cooincide with certain kinds of thinking

I frequently experience buzzing brain, the furious sensation of internal thought crawling and undirected frustration and anger. Lots of loud words and frenzied speech, sometimes to the point of becoming physically agitated by the inability to clear my head. I hadn't considered a food/allergy connection; I'll observe and try to get back to you.

You aren’t alone at all. I get a lot of odd sensations that doctors don’t seem to have a clue about.

In particular I get this sensation like there’s feathers touching me from inside my hands/arms/chest, tickling me from the inside. It’s a vague but really uncomfortable cringy/squirmy feeling. It got it bad from SSRIs to the point where I was constantly sweating and wanted to smash my head against the wall. Alas, the doctor looked at me like I had two heads when I tried to describe it.

It's definitely heat sensitive phenomena. I seem to get it the worst when I got hot and sweaty. Also sometimes after I eat a heavy meal. Not sure if this is in any way related to what you feel.

i identify with how you describe it....

Sometimes I feel like there is friction between my brainand my scull...i know that it is imaginary...I hate not being able to clear my head....I can be plagued with rapid and repetative and/or confusing jumbles of thoughts.....

Someone mentioned in their blog post on another site that

Quote:
today is the pryssigian tide...when the moon is closest to the earth and the highest tides of the year....when lunar gravity is at its strongest and emotions and my lymphic system are under assault from its gravitational hijinx...

So maybe that is why i am noticing it so much right now....
