Attention! This number has changed, please read again carefully!
I've set up a telephone conference for aspies to join. Here is how to get in. This can hold up to 250 callers at once, who can then talk to each other (although I doubt there will be that many at one time).

First, dial 712-421-6956. This is probably a long distance call unless you live in that area code of course, so if you don't have unlimited, I can probably arrange something, just let me knoww.
second, once you hear the welcome message, enter 27743, which spells aspie on the keypad. Press pound
say your name after the beep. Your name will be played when you first join the conference and when you exit, and you will have to record it every time you go in. Press pound when you are done. You will hear the number of callers already in the conference. If there aren't any, wait for however long you wish to (I recommend anywhere from 10 minutes to half an hour), and then leave if you like. If you really want, you can wait around all day, but I don't know how many people will join, so don't necessarily expect for someone to come along right away. I have one rule only about joining. If you do not identify yourself at all either in the name recording or when joining, I will not allow it. However, you can identify yourself and then just sit in conference. As long as I know who you are you don't need to say anything. My friends and I, who are for the most part aspies, stay in there a lot, but not all the time. If too few people join, then I might schedule conferences, but I want this to be convenient for everyone and would rather not have to. If you are someone looking for more information, find out something about it before you join, and I prefer to keep non-aspies to a minimum. If you have any questions, let me know. No using this as a party line please, I want this to be for aspies. I will have to close the conference should too many people join intending this for a party line. It is not. If you want a party line, get all your friends to call 218-936-1200, tell them to enter a four digit code of your choosing followed by pound, and then call in yourself, but add a * right at the beginning of the code. THis will put you in as an organizer. And no, that doesn't work on the aspie bridge, it's got a password. The 1200 bridge mentioned above is another conference bridge on which you can enter any code. Just make sure you give all the participants the same code, or they won't be able to talk to each other. I have a tendancy to confuse the hell out of people when I explain things, so if you have any questions, email me or post a message in this topic.

That sounds very interesting. I'm pretty sure I am Aspie and seeing if I can get a dx, but it would be nice to talk to some of you in person. Plus long distance d oesn't matter on my phone.

edit: I'm getting some sort of system busy error on my phone for some reason

edit again, getting throgh but now saying that code is invalid

edit the third, maybe cause I didn't press pound? but its system busy again... this isn't working so well...

edit 4: make sure to enter # after code

I see that some people are having issues getting in. I do not have this problem, so if it continues, let me know and I will report it.

When I tried, it said six users were on the call, but I didn't hear anyone.

I have to change numbers, I guess. Lets hope nobody gets system errors on this thing. Same idea, just different provider. The new number is. 712-421-6956. When you hear welcome, just enter 27743 again, followed by #. It also asks you to record your name, and this time there won't be any invisible muted participants either. So have fun. Hopefully this will work this time. Sorry about the change in numbers, I know it's annoying, but it sort of needed to be done. This is easier to control anyway. I hope to god I don't have to change this again.

Party Line by The Kinks

(Hello, who's that speaking, please?)

I'm on a party line,
Wonderin' all the time,
Who's on the other end?
Is she big, is she small?
Is she a she at all?
Who's on my party line?

Wish I had a more direct connection.
This party line was here when I arrived.
And I'm not voting in the next election,
If they don't do something about finding out
the person who is on my party line.

I'm on a party line.
I'm on a party line.

I can't speak without an interception.
This is private, please get off my line.
Please tell me when I can have my privacy.
I'd like to meet the girl who's always talking
when I'm speaking on my party line.

Wish I had a more direct connection.
This party line was here when I arrived.
And I'm not voting in the next election,
If they don't do something about finding out
the person who is on my party line.

I'm on a party line,
Wonderin' all the time,
Who's on the other end?
Is she big, is she small?
Is she a she at all?
Who's on my party line?
Who's on my party line?
Who's on my party line?
