I've been extremely bored with nothing to do except surf the net and watch television. I seriously feel like brain is about to rot out of my skull from lack of stimulation. I need something, anything, to get outside the house, especially something that involves other people.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

*So far, my only releases seem to be driving and going on late night jogs. I've thought about trying to discover new places at night by driving around, but I could get lost.

My saviour, my love. It can be yours too, at the low price of $15 a month. :D

Well thanks, but that hardly gets me out of the house. I don't even care for video games. If it involves people, I want to involve people in real life.

Edit: I'm also on tight budget. What little money I have is for college, father's day, and saving.

Lack of money and socializing is a tough combination, I have noticed. Everything that has to do with being around people seems to involve someone else making money on you being there...going to see bands, coffee shops. I have heard of people sitting some where, like an outside mall and people watching but ...a little weird to me. You could see if there is a group near the college, some of those are free and maybe there is one that reflects your interests?

When I need to be t side I go to mal and look for cool rocks in their parking lot islands, (lots of agates and fossils)...people look at me "funny" and ask if I have lost something...so that is a social as I get. One kid asked me if I was an architect 8O ...I assume he meant archaeologist or geologist...pretty funny . I also like to go to garage sales and thrift stores but I always spend money that I shouldn't cause I can't pass up the "deals".

Anarchy Online offer 5 months worth of free MMORG. It sure lot better than 30 days trial that is offer from most games.

I love going to the bookstore, but I have a feeling you've already thought of that :P I like Scheullers Books and Borders. And since I like trains I like going to Crossroads Village (seems like you'd have an equivalent there) I think taking a train ride or maybe even a small trip would be nice. Relaxing yet something different at the same time.

I spend a good amount of my time either a) making YouTube videos, b) talking to my friends online and the phone, and c) recording TV shows and movies on my DVR. I'm about to go on vacation in a couple of weeks, though.

I've had the other problem--- I had opportunity to get out and be with people. I just didn't feel the need or the desire to. I'd rather be with my pets. Maybe that'll change friday, when I get to have my weekly beer.

I want outside of the house. I only use the Internet because I'm bored.

I've been thinking about that, but don't know where I could go and when I could do it.

I can't answer the "when" part but most local papers have volunter jobs lissted in a section of the "want adds".

What about getting a paid job ? Thre are many part time jobs that might work around your free hours. There are several jobs being CNA where you go into peoples house and help them with things and you can pick your own hours. I also belong to an on-line job finder called "care.com" that people who need someone to babysit, animal care or clean...can apply to whatever fits their schedule. The only cost is a "back ground check" for yourself...I think about $20. Something to think about when you start college to. A few jobs there are full time but most are just a few hours a week. There are also probably "pet sitting" companies in your area that would also let you work what ever hours you want and you get to take peoples animal to pet parks and play with them.
