It has been often suggested to me before that I could do voiceover work as I speak very well apparently. It's something I'd love to do but I don't think I could cope with travelling to different places, meeting new people and the pressure of it all would be too much.
Do any of you have talent in your vocal expression?
I am wondering if the aspies who don't have a flat voice tend to be exactly the opposite?

Doing voiceover work shouldn't have to involve travel. Surely there are radio and television stations in your area. A lot of radio work these days is nothing but voiceover stuff, since computer automation and satellite syndication has eliminated most of the need for disc jockeys as entertainment talent. TV stations use as much voiceover talent as on-camera talent.

It's also simple now to do voicework at home (provided you have professional quality equipment - I use an Electrovoice RE27 mic and a Behringer Ultra-Voice processor and edit using CoolEditPro) and email it as an MP3 to it's ultimate destination. Be forewarned though, there are a million disenfranchised ex-radio guys on the net all looking for whatever work they can find.

But what I'd really like to do is CARTOONS. Wonder if McFarlane would let us do Family Guy bits by email?

did a phone audition for a video game once...the woman who was acting as agent go-between was extremely pushy...maybe it was just her, but if that's what directors are like, I'd have a problem...I've been doing it on my own long enough I think I can manage without being micro-managed...
