I need people's opinions in this matter. I'm riding in a cab with these 2 friends, whom are brothers. We are all somewhat arguing where ,another friend is going to b staying in one of our's hotel room's, and i said to them ( which I slured b/c I'm somewhat drunk) he's not acompable in my room, I meant accomadetable (if there is such a word). One brother turns to me and says the other brother doesnt like me. I said, "so what".

Of course I rather not have this impact me i a negative manner, but i wonder how this NT took it? Or how did it make me look? Did it seem like he has to like me who i am, if he doesnt i dont care?
i've been through this before, so i'm somewhat use to people not liking me after a while....

opinions/mind reading please....

Stros,
I really think that most NT's would say the very same thing that you said. In addition, they would say, cool whatever, I don't care. As far as I'm concerned, you were taking it with a grain of salt.

Yup. It doesn't sound too different from what an NT might say. They might not mean it--I assume you did, being Aspie and drunk besides, which is good because really, what's the point of caring whether people like you? It's not like you can change what they feel. Well, unless they don't like you because you're burning down their house or something. :P Then they have a good reason.

stros, I've heard many NTs say the same in the same sort of situation. You're safe.

That sounds like it could have been a joke.

Normally when NT's are serious about not liking someone, the dislike tends to be expressed more in curse words and other insults rather than a simple "I dislike you".

I'm surprised that Whimsi-Cal hasn't posted an indictment against Stros for this thread, just like he did against Garyww and the threads he posted.

Not that I mean anything bad ... I'm just sayin', that's all.

Stros, I think they do say "so what" or something similar so they don't look too concerned. People sometimes don't like to give the impression they care a lot because they don't want to appear like they are too dependent on the approval of others. I think this goes especially for men, maybe not so much for women because they aren't under as much scrutiny and obligated to keep the same kind of facade. Men are, sometimes, expected to be stoical and unbothered by certain circumstances so they appear strong.

I thought he was the OP when I saw the title.
