This is all going to sound quite strange...but what the Hel* it's Halloween.

I've developed a rather interesting quirk in my spoken language. It all started because for some reason I started talking to my cat this way. What it is, is that I insert the word "doing" or "do" in front of my verbs(ex. "are you doing sleeping", or "I am going to do sleeping now" The sentences are still ok grammer wise, but get me strange looks from others. For whatever reason though I find the cadance to be very pleasing. Anybody else ever do this? and if not, try it for a few hours and tell me if you like it.

I don't usually do replying to something like this. But I find it quite humorous and I can imagine the looks you must get.

I know, that doesn't make sense. You should normally let a verb stand alone and not use the passive voice. I wonder if that is a characteristic with those of us who have AS.

What? Just because I made that comment about passive voice, I'm speechless now!

Oh, I'm sorry. You must understand passive voice.

perhaps you need to look at yourself angry parent. are you being respectful? or are you harassing others here?

in spite of the tragic events that have unfolded... I am allowed to state that I am angry..that is disrespectful to no one.

I really hate the fact that I have to do defending myself from this kind of attack...it's plain moronic.

I am missing something, stlf.

I don't think SnoCone was trying to attack. I think he was going along with your first line in your first post...ie its a bit odd. That's why SnoCone included the smilie face.

You have every right to be angry and to express that anger. I think though, that in this case, it might be due to a misunderstanding.

As for the "doing" "do" bit. I like how it sounds, kinda formal.

forgive me for using sarcasm on an AS site...I am not angry...I thought it was a funny post because it used the "doing" thing but apprently it was enough to get me called "disrespectful."

Duh!

Now that I reread the post, I see the humor in it. Sorry.

By the way, you mentioned you talk to your cat. My Domestic one ignores me but my Coon Maine will sit and listen. Do you perchance have a Coon Maine?
