This is not designed to be along the lines of suicide (though feel free to move it to the mature area if you feel its neccessary) but for those of you that deal with depression (which I am sure is quite a few people) what kinds of things keep you from doing anything. For me its always been my little popculture stuff, like video games and books and stuff, always wanting to play another one, a crappy reason Im sure but whatever works is good. Also my ambitous ambitions help keep me safe too as I dont want to die without leaving my name somewhere in the history books, or at least future textbooks (I doubt Ill do it but it keeps me alive.)

I live because I'm scared to death of dying. I'll cling to the last vestiges of life before I allow myself to die.

I live because... I have no clue. :?

I suppose I live because life is all there is.

The hour of wreckoning draws near
Judgment day is here and gone
Sweetly she draws me into her arms
A liquid embrace to chase the day way.
Sedate Numb Deaf and Dumb
Stumbling into solitude.
A clouded judgment day is fueled.
Take me under your black wings
Mark my words and remember me.
So sweetly she shucks away at my time
So sweetly she draws me nigh
Closer and closer towards never ending sleep
Spin the bottle
Kiss only the bottle.
The dark mistress of many, beholden to none
Slips a ring of needles around your arm in an engagement
Eternal engagement
Never consummated.
Take me under your black wings
Mark my words and remember me.
Destroyer of senses.
So take as needed for the pain
Another gray morning dawns across an ashen sky.
My sweet demoness beckons me
Ever again and again and again and again.
The dark mistress of many, beholden to none
My sweet demoness beckons me
Ever again and again and again and again and again.
Take me under your black wings.
Jacked up on the taste of self-destruction.

I suppose that the answer to this question is hope. I think that hope in one form or the other would be everyone's answer to this question. Whether it be the hope that life will get better, or the hope that a great video game will come out next week. It will vary a lot with each person, but IMO it still boils down to hope.

I look forward to eating. That's why I really hate that the cafeteria food here on campus tastes so bad.

I try to help and let other people laugh and learn. In between, you just live in moments.

I live because I want to see tommorrow. I live because I want to leave my mark on the world, for better or worse. In short, I want to count somehow in the grand scheme of things, whatever that may be.

I think it's interesting seeing all of your different points of view.

I want to change the world. In one way or another. I mean by making a fashion company that will influence people forever!

I'm serious btw :) also, I just need to experience EVERYTHING. I want to be in every status of life, of society, of relationships. It's going to be impossible to do this, but once college starts I'll try my best!

I live for God, for the future, and for the hope of finding someone to live for. Also for my dog. He worships me and I adore him.

I think it's like another question I answered awhile before, I live because I live. Also for God, which to me is the same thing.

I live to enjoy myself. To love the little things that pass the time and hopefully by the end of all this passing (and mine) I'll have done something spectacular that won't make dying so unbearable.

Enjoyment. Accomplishment. With as little stress as possible.
