...all we (all 20,000 of us) have to do is stop faking autism.

At least according to the redoubtable (as in, I could "doubt" him over, and over, and over again, and then doubt him some more, just to be on the safe side) Mr John Best Jnr http://www.hatingautism.blogspot.com/ .

I think I upset him by forgetting who he was (he says he "tried to teach me something here, last winter, anyone recall that? Because I don't) and getting him muddled up with Callum Best and (understandably enough I think) trying to reason with him - but just as a prelude to getting his phone number and teaching him some REALLY interesting stuff (HEY!! I am at a FUNNY AGE, I can't help it - besides I DID think his father was Georgie Best at the time  ).

I think Dennis Debbaudt (of the Autism Risk Safety list) upset him by waking up on Sunday morning, and, probably still half asleep, putting John Best Jnr out with the rest of the trash, but without malice (Dennis is nice like that).

I have NO IDEA what Amanda Baggs (a delightful lady, as I recall) has done to upset him, but I DO wish he would find a way to be more of a gentlemen (and far less bigoted) about it.

See what you think...

M

It's clear that a person who puts the word "hate" in the title of his blog is not comfortable with himself, just another jerk, just screw him.

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Asperger's WAS a form of autism.

He also can't spell.

Further down he scared me with the whole notion of removing mercury from kid's brains.. 8O Who would put their child through major brain surgery that could kill them?

They're just a bunch of idiots! They would PROBABLY even doubt AGE1600, because she is too self aware, has a boyfriend, and is too smart! HEY, EVERYONE knows the bad side of autism. NOBODY disputes it! Most people that try to get an AS diagnosis probably just want a fair shake, or closure.

I LOVE(sarc) this part:

So, what does it gain for sane people to protest against a mental case for calling autistic people frauds? AUTISTIC NEVER means insane!! !! ! Autism does NOT mean you can't speak! Aspergers, according to the medical community, IS an ASD!

He seems to do quite well with that until he gets excited...

It's something my supervisor sometimes says about some of the people we have to work with. Her ADD is so severe she takes medication for it. She reads here from time to time, so she really gets me. I'm very fortunate.

Actually, the majority of individuals with Autistic Disorder gain adequate speech as an adult (expressive and receptive), and they can talk for themselves just fine [barring a lack of "normal" social reciprocation]. The largest psychiatric handbook in the US states such.

Asperger's is a form of Autism, which lacks problems with semantic language for the most part (which is there in Autism in childhood, but it usually improves), as well as less symptoms in the repetitive behaviours cluster.

Very scary that he almost sounds like he might actually be on the anti cure side and then he opens his mouth and speaks. Strange little demented man. They should cure him.

The guy sounds a bit disturbed really. He hates what he sees as the result of mercury poisoning. I don't see the logic behind hating something because people have attributed the cause of different behaviour to various genetic and developmental factors and not to poisoning. Even if he thinks the medical and autistic community are a bunch of frauds, why hate a bunch of people who have been poisoned by mercury (in his eyes not mine) and are therefore really suffering? People like this should be ignored and they'll soon shut up. Give them attention and they will expand like a great big ball of hate incarnate.

Just another small mind spitting offensive things to get the advertising revenue from his web site. Screamers get more attention than whisperers and emotion trumps logic every time.

[mental masturbation and fantasizing]

Try that s**t and it'll be the battlefields of former Yugoslavia or Chechnya :rambo:

Hopefully it won't be just autistics rising up, but anyone who doesn't believe or is a majority in the society.

EDIT: I thought OP was quoting savage.
