Does anyone else here feel frustrated when you want to tell somebody something imporant or you want to tell them how you feel and then you get ignored. Doesn't that crap just piss you off? This has happened to me way too much in my life and I'm sick of it.
I think it happens to aspies more than NTs.

I've been ignored a couple times- it doesn't really bother me, but I do get a little pissed off sometimes.

I get ignored a lot, especially on here. I write a lot of thoughtful posts and the thread usually dies not long after.

I'd rather not talk to people than be ignored, especially by someone I think is a good friend.

I ignore everyone, even if they are talking to my face, I tend to zone out

I used to be ignored, but I learned to demand attention with strange hats.
But seriously, yes, and it hurts deeply.

I think a lot of people here share your feelings on that. I've noticed it as well. My theory is that it's simply because so many of us are on the ASD spectrum, and therefore like to talk a lot about things that interest us, but we aren't always as big on reciprocating what someone else is talking about.

You can be just about sure that people are still reading and thinking about what you have to say, even if they don't respond to it on the board.

More than being ignored, I loathe the 'selective hearing' process that seems to be commonplace in those around me... they hear two of the first four words and decide they know what I'm going to say and walk away while I'm talking. Sometimes I pause a long time, sometimes I ramble - I make no pretense there - but daily, with many people, I feel like I'm talking to the back of their shoulder.

I like being ignored.

If people pay attention and don't like what you say, they tend to get hostile even if they remain superficially civil. This is my opinion and not fact. Some people can accept differing opinions and these are the people to talk to. The close minded people have surrendered their humanity and become machines who cannot be reason with. This is very sad and should be mourned.
