I'm so bored. And nothing seems tempting to do right now. All I can think of is how much I want to do something else than just sit here in my room alone. I want to see and be with my best friend, but he is several hours of plane flight away.

I want to run, but I don't know where to.
I want to drive, but I don't have money for gas.
I want to laugh, but there is noting funny.
I want to draw a picture, but there is no inspiration.

Sometimes I have so much energy, but I just can't seem to do anything. And so I get stressed, and obsessed with just doing _something_ and I don't even know what I'm doing till a few minutes after. I kind of fall back in to another world, or becomes another "person" (I do absolutely not know how to describe this).

I will rock back and forth, hold my breath, lean back, stare at the walls, bite my tongue or even gag or choke my self by biting and sucking my fingers.

And it all seems like a perfectly fine thing to do right there and then, but then a bit later I "wake up" and is totally weird about what I just did. And I don't know why this happens, or what I can to to stop it.

It's like I need something to do.. always..

f*****g rude cats, I hate that. Well, normaly I would recommend, uh,umm, suicide. But in your case there might be some hope.
So perhaps you should start by giving the 2 cats the foot, they are obviuosly not doing what they are hired to do in this case.

However, I dont really know what you can do, get drunk, try to hit your head against a wall, these are all good options in theory, but there is a, uh, um, little problem with the.....methods I listed. Are you a boy or girl also? and what age are we talking about here?

right, 22, I missed that. Thats a rough age to work with also. That is a real problem. I looked at your profile also and we are talking female here, well, that could be a good thing here.

When I was in my twenties I started reading library books. I'd just take whatever looked interesting, on any subject. I'd bring stacks home, work through them, then go for more. It was something to do.

I can't do that anymore, because I have a harder time finding nonfiction that captures my interest, and I find most fiction to be pretty bad (got tired of it). I actually started wondering if I could do better. Also, where I live right now is too noisy to read much. But it did keep me occupied and interested for a long time.

Oh, God, are you one of those "don't trust anybody over thirty" types?

d0ds0t - I get that same feeling all the time. And I go into a weird dissociative state where I do strange things that seem like a great idea at the time.

Have you tried the television?

Yeah, I get that way sometimes. I get severely bored to the point of wanting to meltdown. I've developed tricks to keep myself amused but they're but temporary substitutes to the real engagement of feeling alive. I suppose this is why some of us fall into passionate obsessions because it both diverts our attention from the agitated somnombulence of boredom and infuses us with energy, commitment, and knowledge.

I, too, would suggest reading, but not just picking up something that you're familiar with; read stuff that's unfamiliar to you. Also, listening to or learning/playing music can really make time fly by. Or volunteering someplace that you feel might be "aspie-tolerant".

Getting "cabin-fever" sucks. You'll have to be inventive to alleviate yourself of it.

To some extend i know what you mean.
At this moment i want to go out bikeriding and go to the gym.
But my rib is busted up from an elbow whilst playing soccer.
As big of a step as it might be try to find some hobby.
Maybe go to a gym and try joining some group class to get fit.
Maybe try to play a sport like soccer, tennis, basketball, hockey etcetera.
Soccer is becoming more popular with girls these days.

Some other things to try might be playing a playstation.
Don't start playing MMORPG's though theyr too addictive....

The point here is to have something that you enjoy and look upto.
Seeing as we don't enjoy the regular things in life like people our age.
Going shopping and just plain hanging around with friends aquaintances.
I know for myself i can't stand being around people, and just talking whilst not doing anything real.
Randomly striking up conversations whilst not doing anything is difficult.
On the other hand i enjoy playing PS3 games or watching movies etc with friends.
This especially whilst drinking some beers or smoking some weed is good fun.

The key is to find common interests, even though this is difficult.

I really want to work and have social interaction, but when I am about to enter the building of my workspace or meet people in the streets I just totally block out everything and I forgotten everything about what I am supposed to do or say.

The TV is on all the time, but I only have one channel, and there is only news and really boring stuff on there.

I love the library, but I don't have the money to go there as often as I'd wish. It's in the city, and I live more or less on the country side.

I've tried learning how to play the guitar, but any one who tries to teach me just gets frustrated with me. I use my left hand for writing and so on, so playing the guitar and hitting the strings perfectly is a bit tricky for me.

And I have tried learning to play the piano, but I can only play the simple melodies. Playing piano using one hand for the lower notes, and the other hand for the higher notes is just too complicated for me to do.

Prøvde du med en "høyrehendt" gitar? Er selvlært hobbybassist selv og prøver å lære meg selv å spille gitar.
Did you try with a "right handed" guitar? I'm a self-taught hobby bass player and I'm trying to learn myself how to play guitar.

Jeg brukte høyre hånd på grepene, og slo på strengene med venstre. Jeg tror det er motsatt av normalt?

I used my right hand for the grips and my left to hit the strings. I believe that is the opposite of normal?

På en gitar der de "mørke strengene" er øverst eller nederst? Det er venstrehendte gitarister som har lært å spille med strengene "opp ned".
