Adult Diagnosis in Maryland
Please name some clinics, clinicians or other places in Maryland that provide adult diagnosis for Asperger's Syndrome and other Autism spectrum disorders. I've found Northern County Psychiatric Associates mentioned and linked at other sites but would like to determine whether there are others and where they are located. Do you have any thoughts on Northern County Psychiatric Associates or any others? Thank you.

when I had job related difficulty in U.S. Census in Suitland MD I went straight to Maryland Department of Rehabilitation Services. They arranged a job coach (failed, overwhelmed in that environment, also a hostile work environment). I was given IQ tests and another diagnosis for Asperger (I had my first at Marshall University in WV as a grad student). After that, I was scheduled for entrance exams at Maryland (vocational) Rehabilitation Center for computer programming (a first graduating class was starting in Jan. 1999) and I also went into Community Living Skill Training (the only thing it taught me I did not already know was ironing, I knew shopping, cooking, laundry, cleaning, public transit, even driving, because I lived in Greenbelt a year earlier).
The 12 month training was cut off at 6 but six weeks later I had my job (Arlington VA) that is still going after 9 years. After 3 years I moved from Greenbelt (18 miles) to be a hell of a lot closer to the office (walking), but for 3.5 months I had to commute 90 miles from Martinsburg WV because Mom was there (3 days a week, and telecommute 2 days a week). Glad gas was 80 or 90 cents a gallon in WV, but I oil changed every month or two. You can't sleep on the commuter train from Martinsburg to Washington.

I took the subway until September 11. ABC Nightline's depiction of a smallpox attack in the subway + the 9/11 attack + maybe the anthraz attack made me drive instead of ride the rails in.
I take the subway again. I used it for a date Thursday night. She insisted I come up (from Arlington to Riverdale MD) on a weeknight, and I knew that probably meant that 395, 295, the Anacostia Freeway, and/or the Baltimore-Washington Parkway were parking lots around rush hour. I took yellow subway line transferred to green and bypassed the cars.
On weekends the car route is only 30 minutes
