Anyone know of a good asperger's transition org/school?
Hey again, been a while since I last posted. I am a teacher (Master's in Special Education and all) who can't teach (I could go into a long and boring detail of how it got to this point, but suffice it to say I couldn't get certified because of discrimination) so I am trying to find jobs outside of traditional schools in the field of education. One idea that I have come back to a few times before is the idea of helping people with special needs transition into adult life. There are a couple organizations that I have tried to get a job with before (for example near here there is one called the Spectrum College Transition Program), but I am sure there must be a ton nationally that I haven't heard of. Really the only ones that I have heard of are CAP, Chapel Haven, the ones here in the valley, Minnesota Life College, and maybe one or two others. Does anyone know of (or even better yet have experience) with another such program?
