My history, any autistic traits, etc? Discussion...
LabPet,
I think that is a typical symptom of grieving for someone. You see them where they normally would be. You expect to hear them and then you realize that they are not there. It feels like getting hit with a hammer.
I experienced that when my sister moved out of the house when she got married and moved to Colorado. I would be walking up the stairs and glance at the computer desk expecting to see he sitting there. It would be empty and I would sharply realize that she isn't living at home anymore. I would feel a small pang of missing her. I didn't even realize how much I missed her until one psych session this came up. I just started sobbing when I told the story. It came out of no where. Afterwards I felt better and was glad to realize that I must love my sister if I miss her so much.
As for ToM, I normally do ok, but have my moments. I do some customer support and have a difficult time going from the call to another support person to get help. I end up rambling on whatever thought track my mind is on completely oblivious that they other support person had no clue what the problem even is. I have to stop completely and think out how to relay the problem is and then relate what I have already done. It takes a while to get all that straight in my head before I can speak it.
JK

yes it is open and I am posting under 'Star Wars Fan'.
I apologize for the bump but ths thread does not allow me to edit my OP due to the 9999 minute limit and I do not think a new thread is necessary
update.
from the "News Of the World" forum of TOTSE
http://www.totse.com/community/showthre ... st10517905
the guy who first saw it has his last name as Asperger. It was mainly originally discovered through Austrian studies originally. They didn't think of changing it into English or the pun from translation :O
there is a shared thing with people on the internet. Well some of them. I can suck on some internet forums, etc that are full of as*holes as most people are...Apparently I pissed off a lot of people on TOTSE when I first posted here. I'm the same person; apparently I 'rose in rank' via seniority or something...
There's also the things like, for example you have little to bridge with people.
Hmm when I look at it I do not really get involved or go to a lot of social events, or if I do I don't really get involved in the social parts and watch it. It depends yes.
I didn't get diagnosed or had people really pay attention with it when I was obsessed with stoplights when I was younger so. :O
I did get speech therapy and OT therapy from third grade onwards to 8th grade and a resource class for 2 years of High School, it wasn't attached to any diagnosis..
s**t, people can (and do) manage to go ondiagnosed most of their lives. Though that's due to a diagnosis not existing then.
Peopel with AS and the liek can make friends; more likely they make friends with people who have interests (Star Wars fan clubs, anime clubs, etc...as stereotypical as it sounds...)
see http://www.youtube.com/warsie for some of my videos.
EDIT: and there's how people act in real life vs how they act on the internet. Apparently I do act somewhat different IRL than on the internet; liek many do
EDIT 2: and people 'picking up' other peoples terms and vernacular and slang terms...ahh urbandictionary is fun in that regard. the internet in general for googling things...
EDIT 3: Yes, sometimes I quote chan memes irl...it has happened. Typically I manage do to that 'in private' and/or at places full of /b/tards...seriously,a chan is a fun place to be qhen quoting as obscure memes in a joke as possible...
EDIT: I posted something similar with more details on my past, etc on here. My typing skills and style in many ways is similar to the past but I posted much differently when I first posted on TOTSE in some places (I was more literal in telling people to "shut the f**k down" in response to people tellign me to STFU. Kidn've nice that people on TOTSE would given me info on when it's better not to respond in a 'wall of text' format but I still do i sometimes.

EDIT 2: I have to LOL; I got into a flamewar with Zay, Rainbows, etc in the "Why do white family events suck so much" thread on SG and they were saying the opposite and the like...ehhh.
