Also what kind of noise do you make and what is this exactly called? I like to go do,do,do,do,do for no apparent reason LOL!

I LOVE making noise! Verbal stims, I call it. I just like making random sounds.

I do this too. I like the sounds of certain words, and sometimes I make up a 'word' out of several sounds I like. It is relaxing, though I mostly do it in private.

I think this is a huge part of why I was never diagnosed. I do this thing where I push air out between my back teeth, into my cheek. It creates vibrations that are pretty much IN my ear canal, so it's very loud to me.. but to anyone else, it's just a slight gurgle with a little twist of the edge of my mouth, apparently my mother never noticed it at all, despite the fact that I did it CONSTANTLY as a child. I actually always wondered why nobody ever noticed it, it confused me, because it seems so loud to me, but that's just because it's so close to my eardrum. Sometimes I tried to stop it, but I couldn't for very long, as soon as I'd stop thinking about it, I'd start doing it again.
Anyway.. yes, I do make noises, and it is relaxing and stimulating, although sometimes it tires out my cheek muscles.. but nobody else can hear the noises unless they're specifically watching and listening because I've mentioned it, so it doesn't end up being too embarrassing.. although I caught my reflection in the window the other day, and it actually looks kinda like a smirk.. :?

I'm the same, except I tend to pair it with a made up melody.....kind of like scat singing.

I tend to do things loudly, usually unintentionally. People at my work are constantly telling me to set things down more quietly etc because I have a tendency to slam things as I put them down (or when shutting a door or drawer etc). They say it comes across as if I were mad at something. I also tend to drum rhythms with my hands on tables, my legs or other objects.

OMG I think I do the same thing! The way you describe it sounds like what I do. I've never done it around other people though because I always thought they'd for sure be able to hear it. I tend to just do it when I'm alone and bored. I also sometimes make a few other random noises with my mouth but I never know if other people could hear them so I keep them to myself.

As far as other noises, I hum A LOT! Especially while walking. Even if it's just walking two feet to the other room, I immediately start humming when I'm on my feet. This is not usually a conscious choice, I've been asked to stop humming when I didn't even realise I was humming. Other than that I don't really like making noise because I am very noise sensitive and get headaches easily. So when I can have quiet I will cherish it. Though silence is rare because my room shares one wall with a busy street and the opposite wall with the fridge (which has a loud humming noise that kills my head).

I make noises all the time in private or when only my husband is around to hear them - various random sounds, "mrrrr?", cat sounds, etc.

I also make cat noises but only in response to my cats. I count that more as "talking" than making noises, but I suppose most people would not see it that way.

Haha yes, I will have entire conversations with my cats that way.

I'm not sure if this counts, but sometimes I just say noises instead of words. Like if my partner is bothering me by being annoying I wont say "please stop doing that, it is annoying", instead I will just go "aaaahhhh mmm" or something like that in an annoyed sort of tone. It seems to be just as effective as using actual words most of the time.

Yes I do and I have had people just get up and run away from me for some of the noise I make. 8O

Oh yes, I do. I mimic my cat and dog sounds. My dog makes a 'rrrooww' sound. My cat a 'mrrr' sound. And then I like to make my own sounds up.

I don't exactly make noise, but sometimes I'll say, "Squeak!" in a squeaky voice, for no reason. I mean, it's not like Tourette's or anything like that; I wouldn't do it in public. But I'll walk into the room where my husband is, and say, "squeak!" I'm not sure why I do that. Ha ha!

My husband is NT with some aspie traits (different traits than what I have). He does make noises. He does this sound which I would call a vocalized, slow tongue trill, if I had to put a name to it. Basically, he's saying, "Bladdle addle addle addle", but it's more "soundy" than "wordy", because he's moving his tongue back and forth in his mouth, in a way that we don't do in English. He also sings songs with nonsense words and a kind of non-tune, like, "Agga backa palagga blaggle a dahhhh!!" Another thing he does is to drum his hands on his belly, so it makes a slapping sound. I've told him that bugs me, and I've seen that sometimes he starts to do it and them stops himself.
