I've looked up 'disease' in dictionary.com and it states:
Quote:
1. A pathological condition of a part, organ, or system of an organism resulting from various causes, such as infection, genetic defect, or environmental stress, and characterized by an identifiable group of signs or symptoms.
2. A condition or tendency, as of society, regarded as abnormal and harmful.
3. Obsolete. Lack of ease; trouble.
So they are using it as another term for condition, rather than what is often thought to be a destructive, progressive, attacking etc illness,eg cancer.
I'm fed up of the term being used to describe neurological conditions by select professionals because it's outdated, and wrong.
Hope they take notice of your letter.
