Im going to be starting Occupational therapy soon for sensory intergration theraphy.


does any one know what this entails?

I believe this helps you coordinate your senses and movement; hand-eye coordination and the like.

I know that with kids, sensory integration therapy often involves the introduction of lots of new, stimulating sensory experiences- digging for toys in the sand, playing with different materials like play-dough, shaving cream, etc. Basically trying to stimulate the sensory system. Plus activities like swinging, jumping, etc. I don't know how it would work with older people though.
