I think I am different
Hello. In high school I learned how to draw a world map replete with not only states, countries, & capitols, but nearly all rivers, inlets, seas, bays, bights, peninsulas mountains etc. I can freehand chalk in perfect Times New Roman. I love Times New Roman. I write all my sonnets, which are getting into the triple digits, I believe, in Times New Roman, size twelve. It hurts to be touched, but I try really hard to get over that. Things are too loud, always. I just tell people I have bad hearing. I have always thought that my sense of smell was extra-ordinary. I can sniff out a j three blocks away. I once cut out hundreds on 1cm^2 pieces of paper and taped them together in a salt crystal arrangement, which resulted in a very intricate, very amazing 9cm^2 thing. I was bored.
Is this ocd? Am I ADHD? What am I? I do not know. The classification matters not so much, but I would like to know more about AS. The new assistant cook at my work told me that she has Asperger's, and that the difference between ADHD and AS is that ADHD minds think quickly but there are gaps, which she visualized with her hand quickly moving in a quick jumpy motion as represented here: |___|___|___|___|; she visualized AS thought with this rapid chopping motion as represented here: |||||||||||||||||. I completely agreed.
Should I tell potential partners and others that I have AS?
Should I get diagnosed? What good would this do me?
Thank you if you have read this,
Michael
Diagnosis is useful becuase it gives you confirmation, and certification for anything that may be awkward for you in the future. This can mean it's easier to understand for future partners or bosses or co-workers, whereas if you're undiagnosed they can just say 'yeah, but you might not be, you might just be awkward.'

Yeah its a good idea, getting a diagnosis that is. I am glad in a way I was told I was under the spectrum because it explained a lot of why I was considered an outcasts for so many years (until I hit college, weird but glad) You will feel better that there is a reason for all of this!
