Which seem sto be another facet of aspies. That would explain my fear of speed in a car when I sit in front. I feel very scared when someone goes 100 or more kms p/hr. Not knowing when to jump from a diving board (that's why I refuse to dive, I am always afraid to jump to late or to soon.
I am a good dancer as long as I can dance on my own and in my own style. If I had to learn how to waltz or tango or a folk dance I would always be out of sync (counting steps).

Is that familiar with many of you? What else exists there as spacial awareness problems? Besides being clumsy as a child and still now occasionnally bumping into furniture or pushing a glass from the table

The diving board thing you mentioned really bothers me to.

That's apparently a possible display of ASD, I think.

I have the opposite, except that my vision also has this problem with distances and speed of moving objects. I have excellent awareness of my body and my surroundings (more than the average person), but my visual perception messes that up.

I may just fall down by just opening my eyes hehe.

I am terrible at estimating/judging things like distance, size, amount, volume, weight, speed, etc.

You're probably referring to body memory and I have the same problem. When I am dancing on my own I'm comfortable and enjoy the music, but if I try to learn dancesteps I have alot of problem with it.
I can go over and over a routine and still not be able to execute it. I cannot reproduce but only so many steps in a sequence. Sucks doesn't it?
