If you are a working adult and you like to watch superhero cartoons such as batman from time to time would this be something you would be ashamed to admit in front of NTs that you would normally associate with such as friends, coworkers, girlfriend/boyfriend, or relatives because of what they might think of you?

If you enjoy watching superhero cartoons, good for you. There's no need to be ashamed. If someone thinks badly about you, shame on them. There are nuances in the best of them that are not intended for children. This is not accidental. It's almost incidental that children like them, to be honest. There are NT's who enjoy superhero cartoons, anime, etc. I still like Tom & Jerry. The Tick is funny. Had my daughter been born before my husband and I discovered Cowboy Bebop there's a good chance her name would have been some variation on Edward. Anyone who is going to be nasty about an adult of any variety who watches superhero cartoons is not worth worrying about.

Well, when you get to a certain age, I think you might want to keep it to yourself. However, I don't tell people of my age that I like to watch some of those old "Looney Tunes' cartoons- but when you seem them as an adult, you get a WHOLE NEW perspective on them. But, I'm not ashamed that I like to watch SOME cartoons.

I don't usually bring it up, but I have similar-aged, like-minded friends to fan with.

If you're talking about Batman the Animated Series, then no, wouldn't be ashamed at all.

However, that new WB channel stuff? Heck yeah I'd be ashamed. That stuff is terrible =(

I would have been ashamed to admit watching the new version of The Batman at any age - it tries to be a cross between Batman: the Animated Series (well-written, with generally good voice acting) and the old Batman TV series from the Sixties (high camp). It fails at both, IMO.

If I were ashamed to admit to watching the cartoons at all, though, I couldn't tell people about one of my favorite TV lines (in Superman: the Animated Series, one of the bad guys has a high-tech weapon being dealt to Intergang, originating from the planet Apokalips. He points it at Supes, who shakes his head and says, "You know, that's been tried before."). I would also have missed the moment, in one of the early Justice League Unlimited episodes, in which the writers had Supergirl refer to Captain Atom as "Captain Stick-Up-His-" (at that moment, the conversation was interrupted).

And what kind of person is ashamed of watching old Bugs Bunny cartoons? Half of the writing went over your head when you were a kid! :)

I watch cartoons. Period. Less stressful and mind-consuming than watching people interact. So I don't really shy away from admitting it.

It never occured to me that ANYONE would be ashamed of watching cartoons. At any age.
My favorite TV...actually the only TV I watch other than The History Channel...are cartoons.
