definitely,meds can make all the difference between life and death for some autists [eg,those who head bang/attack themselves,those who have severe meltdowns etc],it can also bring on speech in some autists who are completely non verbal,and increase speech in those who have some,they can help with so many parts of autism.
if the problem is severe enough,any improvement seems big,so meds are very helpful for some,but there's no point in having them if the problem isn;t life affecting,as there will be other ways to help-without the side affects of meds.
