yes, less than when i was younger, though. but still quite a lot, my fingers mainly. it got less severe after puberty, before that my collars and pencils where always in my mouth :)

and i also became afraid of germs so i had to stop doing that with objects i didn't know about how clean they were. so now i bite only my left hand, because the right one is for touching things and shaking hands when others insist on it.

I used to bite my nails but I suddenly stopped one day and I'm not sure why.

Otherwise my only problem is that if I put something soft like a toothpick between my back teeth and don't consciously try to prevent it my jaw will clamp down so hard it makes my eyes water and triggers a gag reflex.

That's kinda weird.

For some reason, I've gone for a few months now without putting anything in my mouth, after having it really bad. Now that I think about it, I'm kind of getting the urge, but I'm fighting it :x

I've read that eating ice counts as pica, but I don't see why it should...ice melts down into water, which is food... :?

Anyway, I love eating ice  Don't really eat anything else that isn't food, unless I'm doing it to be funny.

Yeah, I bite all the time, on stuff like chains, or the handle of my purse. Often I bite my knuckles. I think it's a stress thing.

Wow. I do this, too. I guess this would be considered a form of stimming?

Amazing. I realize I am early in the discovery process, but it seems like every day I identify at least one behavior or action that is particularly Aspie. I have a lot to learn.

In my school days I chewed up a lot of shirt collars, pencils, and erasers. These days I chew on toothpicks, quite often mixed in with either jawbreakers or some other type of hard candy.
