Do you brush your teeth with an electric toothbrush?

My 6 year old does better with an electric toothbrush....he has some sensory issues. To get my 3.5 year old Autie to brush her teeth I have to make the noise (chicha chicha...ect)...most of the time that works. I dont like electic toothbrushes....I think I like to have more control over something that is in my mouth.

I'm a bit freaked out by electricity + water so I don't use it.

shouldn't this be in random discussion btw...? lol

yes, they seem to do a better job, you can get at the backs of teeth better.

mine just sits in a charger, there is no cord attached to the brush itself.

Yes, after I got one I never went back to the normal. My teeth just feel so much cleaner afterwards... and it doesn't seem to take as long. (I use the battery powered ones with rechargeable batteries)

I've been using one for a few years now. I'm totally used to it, it's better than a regular toothbrush in my opinion.

I use a Braun battery operated one with the rotating head. I don't have good motor coordination and I found it does a better job that I can do with a brush.

How do any of you stand the noise they make? 8O I can barely even tolerate being near someone who is using one of those electric toothbrushes... but then, I also was driven half crazy by the combination sounds from air conditioner and fluorescent light bulbs at the distraction-reduced testing area my uni provides.

I have one that I use too. The noise doesn't bother me. It's the ultrasonic device that the dentist uses that give me sensory issues. I call it the just peel me off the ceiling syndrome. It's not just the sound, but the sensation that sets me on edge. Dentists hate me because I won't let them use it. LOL

I use a traditional manual toothbrush.

I use an electric shaver though, because I'm afraid of cutting myself.

I've been using one for almost two years. Wireless with recharger.

I used to but I think I dont anymore one because it got a bit tedious and because it was a present one of my best friends gave me and they kind of make me miss him when I think of them.
