I was just wondreing if anyone else here can pick up on vibes. The best way to descibe it is that you can feel where others are(it's kind of a tingly feeling), also if somone around you is feeling a strong emotion you feel that emotion.

funny that you should ask. Yea I do that some. everyone in the family (except dad) do. But could I tell you when Im talking face to face with someone what they are feeling? nope. But I can enter a room and generaly without interacting at all, I can get an idea of the general "mood". I seem to be better at the "someone is watching me " kinda feeling, or the "someone entered the room behind me" feeling.

I've tested it out and these abilities can be controlled to a certain extent.

I pick up vibes all the time, and most of them seem to be very unpleasant.

If you know someone well enough, you definitely can get vibes.

Vibes sometimes. Curiously, I can trace the path of electrical cables around my room and house without having my eyes open.

Oh yeah, I'm great with vibes. Like sometimes, when I get home from uni and mum is in the kitchen screaming and throwing pots and pans left right and centre, man, I just kinda get this vibe... it's like she's angry or something...

I get "uncomfortable vibes" from other people. But as for exactly what they mean or how the other person is feeling or why, I can't usually quite put my finger on it.

I can only do it through a monitor. It's like I know what the person I'm chatting with is feeling strongly.

Yes, I'm extremely sensitive to this and can feel other people's emotions.

Waaaay more than is comfortable, sometimes. There are rooms and places that I can't go into because it just feels depressing.

Agreed. I get a better gauge of emotions by chatting....must be why my only girlfriend was met online and asked out before we even met in person!

Interesting so many of you mention the "vibes" thing. Yes, I too pick up on what people project at times. It must be a counter-defence mechanism some of us Aspies develop to make up for our social ineptitudes.

It's a theory worth finding out more about.
