Do you like to sing? I like to sing. I took a chorus class in high school.

I sing almost nonstop.
no kidding.

My earliest memories are of being coaxed to sing by my grandmother...allll the time...and then pormpted to sing for other people on command...

When I was 6 I started mimicking the singers in musicals I saw on television...and memorising musicals was a major thing for me growing up..I have been singing in choirs since I was little I dabbled in musical theatre a bit starting at age 11, and when I was 15, I joined a band, which I stayed in till I was 25...

But aside from all that...I just sing constantly...

I am not the greatest singer in the world....just very obsessive.

But if anyone asks me to "sing something"
I will totally clam up..

I used to sing in the car, all the time.
With or without the radio. It's probably therapudic.
Thanks for reminding me. I need to get back to that.

Yes you do.

Singing is great 8) Life wouldn't mean a lot to me without it.

Only when I'm totally alone! I have a voice like an old worn out foghorn.

I like to sing. When I was a kid I sang the way I talked--very correctly, perfect notes, perfect durations, very little emotion. I also learned to improvise harmony to a melody. Being able to sing very correctly made me very good in choirs; and I don't get significant stage fright, so I used to do solos in church and school. It's kind of funny the way solos go in kids' musicals; if you want one, you almost always get it because most people are too shy to do it.

Over the past few years I've learned to put a lot more expression into my singing. I don't sing in church too much anymore, though. I've not got any amazing talent, though; just being on-key, really. Lately, if I'm singing, I'm listening to a CD of a broadway production, usually singing along on the alto line, improvising harmonies to the solo pieces. My entire family can sing on-key. I think I just inherited that part. Being able to understand intervals and harmony intuitively is my own quirk, though.

I often (wordlessly) sing along to what I'm playing whenever I play bass/guitar (and stand away from the mic of course when i'm doing it, unless I'm doing a solo and I want people to hear me doing it) . I also do backup vocals and don't mind it, I just find the bass so much more expressive.

I think it would be joyous to sing but unfortunately I am tone deaf, lacking in intonation, and have no sense of rhythm :(

Me too. That's why I only do it when I'm alone sewing.

Don't let that stop you. After practising for over a decade my voice finally started to sound reasonably good, then Punk Rock became fashionable and the people in the band I was in told me I was too smooth :?

I was in choir in middle school, and I sing to myself sometimes.

I love to sing, but I have trouble doing it in front of others.

I sing a hell of a lot when I'm in comfort zones, but I provide others the grace of not being too embarrassing or challenging.
