What'd you get with yours?

They threw a pension in with mine. (I was hoping for a tank.)

Well now you know (what you previously strongly suspected).

I did not get a tank or pension with mine....not even a lousy t-shirt.

Well, I personally found the self-knowledge I got with my diagnosis to be quite satisfactory.

Congratulations and welcome to the club.

Now you'll probably feel more at peace with yourself because you'll have an explanation for a lot of things.

Digger,

I know you feel it's a curse but I'm personally quite happy to be different. With a dx I at least know who I am and why I am different.

I also find a lot of positives in the difference. I'm married with kids, so I'm not particularly starved for social interaction. In fact, I don't crave it at all. My AS means that I have concentration abilities and long term memory that most people never dream of. It can be a good thing if you approach it in the right frame of mind.
