Anxiety
Anxiety is a significant portion of my life. Anxieties flow in and out of my heart with as much regularity as the blood I live by. I have read about the symptoms of anxiety, but not all of them apply to me. This is what anxiety means to me.
- Worry
- Tenseness
- Heart beating very quickly
- Shortness of breath
- Palms sweating
- Look of fright on my face
- The need to remove myself from the present situation
- Creative urge to write poetry about my feelings in the aforementioned situation
Anxiety can be triggered by many things. I feel very anxious when I leave my house. I feel very anxious among crowds too. I feel anxious when I take a test. I even feel anxious when I should be relaxing. I don't want people to think I have bad posture when I go to see a comedy routine or eat at a restaurant.
Girls are the most anxiety provoking thing I can think of. I am queasy just thinking about Nakeesha.
Sounds like you have both Social Phobia and Generalized Anxiety Disorder.
I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I get around this by trying to keep my life (and myself) as calm and predictable as possible. When that isn't possible, I take Paxil. Right now, I'm not needing it thankfully.
