Okay to be serious (or at least try to be) is there anyone else in here who sleeps with a teddy all the time and it makes it alot easier to go to sleep? I do whenever I go back to my mom house, I think both of my brother still sleep with there blankies too (ones 16 and NT as can be and the others 11 and like half and half.) Is sleeping with teddies normal for aspies???

Well so long as both parties consent, and you use the proper protection... you're still sick and depraved! :P

Lol when I saw the title I didn't know if you were talking about teddy bears or lingerie. I always loved stuffed animals when I was a kid and I have to admit I still have a weakness for them. I was willing to give them up and try to act like an adult, but strangely my husband encourages their companionship. He's taken a liking to them and each teddy has it's own personality, voice, etc. There's 9 in the bedroom right now and usually at least one ends up in bed.

Are/were you very creative in naming the teddies? I never have been. The ones hanging around right now are Elly-funt (an elephant), The Purple Bear, The Blue Kitten, Doggy, The Pig, Buster (a bear wearing a "Dave & Buster's" shirt), and 3 Serta Counting Sheep - Number 8, Number 29, Number 44.

Not at all, the closest is Merry (which is christmasy.) Also can I edit the title to say something to make people know its about the animal kind.

I have Beanie Buddy (large Beanie Baby) teddy bears that I cuddle with every once in a while. But sleeping with my arms in one position all night makes them go numb so I can't do it often.

I love teddies too.

I take Bearsac with me everywhere and hug and kiss him when I feel like it, even if I do get funny looks and bad comments.

I don't sleep with Bearsac though, I sleep with Choc-Ice; he is bigger and more cuddly.
If I am going to be away from home for more than a couple of nights I have to take Choc-Ice or another cuddle size teddy with me as well as Bearsac.

I talk to my teddies too and they have thier own voice and personality.

Choc-Ice drives me mad as he keeps telling me he's a teddy bear and that I don't know he's a teddy bear and that I hate him. He repeats this quite a lot, so I think he might be an Aspie too!

I sleep with a teddy bear my boyfriend got me  I was glad when I finally got over sleeping with them and then he went and got me a bear and I have to sleep with it every night otherwise I feel lonely and unprotected. When I was little I had a tiny blue horse that I slept with and I lost it at a sleepover thing, I was distraught. I can sleep without him, but it feels alot safer to sleep with rather than without.

I never slept with a teddy as they took up too much room in my bed. I do sleep with two pillows on either side of me, though. And lots of blankets unless it's unbearably hot. It's a comfort thing.

I've always slept with some sort of stuffed critter, although it is not always a bear.

Ahah I stopped sleeping with stuffed toys a long time ago.. but I remember i used to sleep with ... all of my toys *blush*. My parents took a photo of me with like 10 toys around me including teddie bears, horses and all sorts of random stuffed toys. No idea why, maybe I wanted friends. I can't see me doing it now, thought I'd still like the friends part.

God I hope noone finds that photo

LOL I have two beanie buddies that look just like that picture for my sons for Christmas. Both my sons sleep with teddy bears, one's HFA, the other is non-autistic (I still think there are some quirky traits there...). I sleep with a teddy bear, I'm 32, it's a curly bear from Build-A-Bear Workshop. It's by my pillow every night and I always hold its paw. Dylan has like 7 bears on his bed and I used to have that many too as a kid. I'm so addicted to Build-A-Bear. *laughs* Perfect and expensive way to feed my teddy obsession. :)
