yup. I get it all the time. My captain at the FD I used to work for would say, "you're craizer than a S&%T-house rat!"

I just try to take it in stride.

Hey, same here, but not just from job supers, but from anybody that I have any real dealings with. Though I think that they may be using 'crazy' in a way that is synonymous with 'strange' or perhaps 'reckless' instead of being synonymous with 'psychotic' or 'delusional'. --You people as well? :D

The generic way that people describe me - across all the areas I work in or gone to school in in my whole life is - 'She is nice, but really, really, really, really wierd . . .'

It offends the heck out of me when people, especially people I know that know my whole history, call me crazy . . .

crazy

1. Affected with madness; insane.
2. Informal. Departing from proportion or moderation, especially:
1. Possessed by enthusiasm or excitement: The crowd at the game went crazy.
2. Immoderately fond; infatuated: was crazy about boys.
3. Intensely involved or preoccupied: is crazy about cars and racing.
4. Foolish or impractical; senseless: a crazy scheme for making quick money.

Some bunch of construction workers once called me something I would not post on a family forum, but I think, [censored] them!

I heard that ALL THE TIME in high school. No one would ever tell me what it was that was so horrible about me, but I knew it was something because people wouldn't shut up about it.

People tell me I'm crazy all the time. I say "yes, yes I am, tell me something I don't know." In other words I don't take it offensively. I told my girl I'd far rather her call me crazy or weird than normal. I think normal is an insult!

It's more fun being crazy and having a few extreme or eccentric views and outward thoughts than it is to be a mold of some boring standard set by society.

It's always the crazy, eccentric people they make movies about. ;)
