Yes - I do the exact same thing too.
I cant wear it if I havent put it on correctly and it isnt level.
If I am cold at work I sometimes wear my favourite scarf all day too which keeps me warm and makes me smile :D

To me, it doesn't matter. I wind my scarf a few times around my neck, and that's it.
Just do keep warm...
