Is it ok to not love a parent because they are strange?

It is ok to not love a parent for any reason under the sun.

What I don't get is why you have to be "taken care of" at 37. If its because of some physical or mental disability then why did you move so far away?

Although I agree that it is a parent's responsibility to help prepare you for the world they brought you into, there comes a time in your life where you have to stop blaming other people for your problems and take responsibility for yourself. There is no point in being angry and holding grudges your entire life because that won't get you anywhere.
