Do you think it's a good idea to start a petition that isn't necessarily against a cure for autism but simply stating that we are autistic, we are valuable people, and we like exactly who we are???

what exactly is a petition? yeah sure why not, try and focus more on the good things (coz there arent any bad things really)

There are too many member and too many ASD people in too many jurisdictions scattered around the planet for a petition to accomplish anything. What we need is our own political lobbies located strategically in developed countries to make a difference. If abortion is going to be propagated as a solution to people's fears about autism, then I doubt we would be very popular with liberal causes. However, we could probably form a highly influential alliance with conservtive groups to protect our own.

what kind of a person a women birth's is her business. It may be sad that people want to control what they produce, but no amount of government control will be able to enforce this petition even if it were accepted.

I don;t think it's a petition to outlaw abortion of spectrum babies!! ! If I'm getting this right this is just to make people aware that people on the spectrum are not nessessarily nonfuctional/miserable/etc.

Well i'd love it if the idea was popularized that autistic and aspergers people are much more different than they are "disabled" or such.

Yeah, I'm not exactly against this, but I don't understand who we'd give it to, or who's trying to oppress us or whatever
